Pakistan Boar Habitats

The Wild boar prefers areas with think vegetation. They are found in reed beds as well as scrub and forest areas and are often found living in the vicinity of larger cities of Pakistan. In Pakistan, the wild boar is common in the Indus riverine forest of river Indus throughout the provinces of Punjab and Sindh. Increased sugar plantation has increased the wild boar population in some areas of Punjab so high that they are now considered a pest. Numbers in Sindh have declined, but it is not endangered and is still found in good numbers. Wild boar are plentiful in forest plantations of Changa Manga and Piranwala. They are common in Margalla Hills and are regularly seen on the streets of Islamabad, despite government efforts to control their population. Wild boars are not found in the higher hill ranges in the north of the country. They are rare in Kohat and Peshawar. Despite government efforts to reduce Wild boar populations, by using pesticides and hunting there has been no significant effect on the population of wild boar in Pakistan, and they are increasing in many areas of Punjab. Boar Hunting Terrain

Depending on the terrain of your hunting grounds, your hunts could be on grassy plains, along the rivers, irrigated plantations, block forests, thorn bush forests, cane grass, crop fields, small hills, moorlands, river islands, sugar cane fields, wild canyons, foothills & mixed lands.

Hunting Difficulty Grade

At times short walks to the individual shooting position have to be undertaken, however, in most cases the hunters are driven by cars or jeeps quite closer to their assigned shooting positions. This permits even the older hunters to participate easily.

So our guests may hunt as many boars as they want and they are usually rewarded with a quantity which is far beyond their expected bag limit. As regards their quality, all boars are shot under exciting circumstances and oftenly includes a high percentage of old tuskers.

Camping Sites

Some hunting grounds that do not offer motels or guest houses, we provide either our spacious 3 men dome tents for each member or large-sized mess tents (13ft X 11 ft) with separate camp mattresses @ 02 to 03 persons per tent. The foam mattresses we provide are extra spacious and comfortable. The dining tents are spacious (13ft x 11ft) furnished with spacious dining tables and chairs. And two separate tents are provided for bath and toilet. While our mess tents are mostly lit by petromax lamps, which also keep them warm, we also provide low-wattage electric lamps in each tent powered by petrol generators. ☼ The sun usually shines at temperatures that remind us of sunny spring & autumn days in Europe or on the Indian summer on the east coast of the USA.

Camp Food & Beverages

The day begins with a cup of tea or coffee in your tent at around 6 AM, followed by a full breakfast, which includes cereal, milk, eggs, bread, paratha (chapati), jam, honey, corn flakes  etc. The beating begins at around 8 AM. We stop for lunch around noon. Our hot lunch is composed of at least three main courses but to quench the European taste, we always supplement our lunches with crackers, cheese, nuts, fruit, juice, fish, salad, bread & tea/coffee.  Dinner is served around 7:30 p.m. & includes soup, followed by 2 to 3 main courses of stews, rice, lentils, vegetables, chicken or mutton and chapattis. There is always a desert (custard, pudding, kheer, halwa or sheer khorma) at the end of dinners which is served with coffee or tea (black or green). Meals are served in rotation with a blend of local & international cuisines to maintain variety. Plenty of fresh vegetables & seasonal fruits are always served. Please inform us about any dietary concerns that you may have.  We will be more than glad to fulfill your request.

Hygiene & Sanitation

All our cooks and support staff are thoroughly trained in kitchen and table hygiene & observe strict hygienic code.
